Job Summary
We are seeking highly skilled and experienced Paint and Decorators to join our professional team. The ideal candidates will possess a keen eye for detail, excellent craftsmanship, and the ability to deliver high-quality finishes on a variety of projects. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse decorating assignments, from residential to commercial properties, ensuring surfaces are beautifully finished and protected. Candidates must demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between sites.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion
- Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other decorative finishes with precision and care
- Use specialised tools and equipment safely and effectively to achieve desired results
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and industry standards
- Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and team members regarding project progress and requirements
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace throughout each project
- Assist in colour matching and selecting appropriate materials for each project
- Complete projects within specified timeframes while maintaining high standards of quality
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Painter and Decorator with a strong portfolio of completed projects
- Knowledge of construction painting techniques and decorative finishing methods
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for site travel purposes
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality workmanship
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and client requirements
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently
