Duties
- Assist in food preparation and cooking under the supervision of senior chefs
- Support the team in maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen
- Help with food plating and presentation to ensure visual appeal
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations at all times
- Participate in inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering supplies as needed
- Contribute to the training and mentoring of junior staff members where appropriate
- Assist with organising kitchen operations during service periods, ensuring smooth workflow
- Uphold high standards of hospitality by providing excellent service to guests when required
Experience
- Previous experience in food production or culinary environments is preferred
- Proven background in restaurant or hospitality settings, demonstrating strong kitchen skills
- Supervising experience or team management capabilities are advantageous
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and standards is essential
- Familiarity with food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen equipment
- Experience in serving guests or customers in a hospitality setting is desirable
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide team members effectively
