Do you have years of experience building and wiring industrial control panels — and fancy putting those skills to good use on your own terms?
We're a specialist manufacturer of bespoke environmental test chambers, and we're looking for an experienced Electrical Panel Builder to join us. Whether you want two or three days a week on a regular schedule or prefer to pick up work as projects come in — we're open to making it work around you.
What you'll be doing:
- Building and wiring industrial control panels from electrical schematics
- Installing and connecting PLC, HMI, VFD and safety control components
- Cable routing, termination, labelling and panel finishing to a high standard
- Testing, inspection and documentation of completed panels
What we're looking for:
- Solid hands-on experience building and wiring industrial control panels
- Confident reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Good understanding of industrial control circuits and electrical systems
- Pride in the quality of your workmanship
Desirable:
- Experience with environmental chambers or special-purpose machinery
- Electrical qualifications (City & Guilds, NVQ, HNC/HND or equivalent)
- Three-phase power distribution and motor control experience
- Fault finding and inspection experience
Working arrangement:
- Part-time and flexible — can be 2–5 days per week to suit your needs
- Excellent rates of pay depending on experience
- Additional days available when project workload demands
- Workshop-based at our facility in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire
