Overview
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented and proactive Paraplanner to join our financial planning team. This role would suit a career paraplanner who enjoys technical report writing, analysing client information, supporting advisers and helping deliver high-quality financial planning outcomes.
The role is full time and hybrid, with one day per week in the office and four days working from home. The office base can be in either the London or Newbury area.
The role also involves working with modern AI-enabled systems, including AI notetakers and workflow tools, to improve efficiency while maintaining quality, accuracy and regulatory standards.
The role
- Preparing clear, accurate and compliant suitability reports, review reports and other client-facing documentation.
- Producing holistic financial planning reports to support ongoing client advice.
- Preparing product illustrations, research and supporting recommendation analysis.
- Supporting cashflow modelling and using the outputs to evidence recommendations.
- Analysing client information to help develop tailored financial planning strategies.
- Preparing for and supporting client review meetings where required.
- Responding to client ad hoc withdrawal and income-planning requests.
- Assisting with tax calculations where necessary.
- Working closely with Advisers and the Client Relations team to progress client correspondence.
- Maintaining accurate and complete client records.
- Collaborating with advisers to gather information and ensure timely delivery of client work.
- Ensuring all work is meets regulatory requirements and internal standards.
- Contributing to improvements in systems, templates and working practices.
- Using AI-enabled systems, including notetaking and workflow tools, appropriately and responsibly.
The candidate
- At least 2 years’ paraplanning experience.
- Minimum Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning, or an equivalent recognised qualification.
- Strong technical knowledge of pensions, investments, trusts and personal taxation.
- Experience preparing suitability and financial planning reports.
- Strong written, numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good organisation, prioritisation and time-management skills.
- A background in financial planning, wealth management or an IFA environment.
- A proactive, collaborative and dependable approach.
Salary and benefits
- Salary of £40,000–£50,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
