Shred Station are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and hard-working VNA Driver to join our growing team at our Rackheath depot.
This is a hands-on warehouse role where you will be responsible for safely operating a Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) forklift truck, moving and storing materials throughout the warehouse and supporting the wider operational team.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in working safely and efficiently, is comfortable working as part of a busy warehouse team and is willing to help with general warehouse duties when required.
The Role
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Safely operating a VNA forklift truck within the warehouse.
- Loading, unloading, moving and putting away pallets and materials.
- Retrieving stock and materials from racking as required.
- Carrying out picking and warehouse movements accurately and efficiently.
- Checking loads and ensuring materials are stored safely in the correct locations.
- Completing daily VNA/forklift safety checks and reporting any defects.
- Keeping warehouse aisles and working areas clean, safe and organised.
- Assisting with general warehouse and operational duties when required.
- Following Shred Station's Health & Safety procedures at all times.
- Working closely with the Warehouse and Operations teams to ensure the smooth running of the site.
What We're Looking For
The successful candidate will:
- Have previous experience operating a VNA forklift truck.
- Hold a valid VNA forklift licence/certificate.
- Have previous experience working within a warehouse or similar environment.
- Have a strong awareness of Health & Safety.
- Be reliable, punctual and hardworking.
- Have good attention to detail.
- Be comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Be flexible and willing to assist with other warehouse duties when required.
- Be comfortable undertaking some physical/manual handling tasks as part of the role.
Experience operating other forklift trucks, telehandlers, and warehouse equipment would be advantageous but is not essential.
