Healthcare Assistant – 20 Hours Per Week
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistants to join our team on a 20-hour-per-week basis, providing high-quality care and support to clients in their own homes.
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will support individuals with their daily activities, promoting their independence, dignity, comfort and overall well-being. You will work closely with clients, their families and the wider healthcare team to ensure care is delivered in accordance with individual care plans.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing and grooming.
- Support clients with daily living activities, including meal preparation and medication support.
- Follow and implement individual care plans as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Monitor and report any changes in clients' health or wellbeing.
- Provide companionship and emotional support, helping clients maintain a positive quality of life.
- Maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment in clients' homes.
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families and colleagues.
- Maintain accurate care records and follow all relevant health and safety and hygiene procedures.
Skills and Requirements
- Good spoken and written English.
- Ability to understand and follow care plans accurately.
- Previous experience in domiciliary care or a similar healthcare setting is preferred.
- Basic IT skills for maintaining client records and communicating with the care team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, reliable and committed to providing person-centred care.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
