At Wildflower Home Care, we see care as skilled, meaningful work that makes a real difference in people’s lives. We support people to remain independent in their own homes, and we’re committed to creating a workplace where our team feels respected, supported and proud of what they do.
We take a person-centred, relationship-based approach. That means we thoughtfully match Community Care Assistants with clients based on personality, routines and needs. We don’t rush visits, and we don’t believe in “task-only” care. We give you the time to do your job properly — building trust and providing support that genuinely improves someone’s day.
As a Community Care Assistant, you’ll provide high-quality care and support to people in their own homes, helping them live safely, comfortably and with dignity.
Your day might include:
- Supporting with personal care
- Preparing meals
- Assisting with medication
- Light housekeeping or errands
- Offering companionship and practical support
Every client is different, and so is every day. We aim to create consistent pairings so you can build familiarity and confidence with the people you support.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver person-centred care tailored to each individual
- Support with daily living activities, including personal care and household tasks
- Promote independence and wellbeing at all times
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with clients, families and colleagues
- Work collaboratively as part of a professional and supportive team
We’re proud of the positive, down-to-earth culture we’ve built at Wildflower.
You won’t feel like “just a number” here. Our management team is approachable and hands-on, and we make time to check in properly — not just about work, but about how you’re doing.
We hold regular team meet-ups, catch-ups and informal gatherings so everyone has the chance to connect, share experiences and feel part of something bigger. Care work can sometimes feel independent when you’re out in the community, so we make sure you still feel supported and included.
We celebrate achievements, encourage open communication and create space for learning and development. We believe good care starts with a team that feels valued.
