A friendly and nurturing primary school in the heart of Plymouth is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. This is a fantastic opportunity to work across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) on both a 1:1 basis and through small group intervention sessions.

The Role:
- Provide 1:1 support for pupils with a range of SEND, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language needs, and learning difficulties
- Deliver targeted small group interventions to help pupils develop academically, socially, and emotionally
- Work closely with class teachers and the SENDCo to implement personalised learning strategies
- Encourage confidence, independence, and positive behaviour
- Create a safe, engaging, and nurturing learning environment where every child can thrive
About You:
- Experience working with children or young people, ideally within education, SEND, care, youth work, or a similar setting
- A patient, resilient, and caring approach
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning
- Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential—transferable skills and the right attitude are equally valued
