We are looking for a friendly, motivated, and customer-focused Sales Advisor to join our flooring showroom team. In this role, you will help customers choose the right flooring for their home or business, provide expert product advice, and ensure an exceptional shopping experience from start to finish.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing strategic sales plans, building strong client relationships, and expanding our market presence. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence the company's sales direction and contribute to its overall success.
Duties
- Greet customers and provide a warm, welcoming shopping experience
- Identify customer needs and recommend suitable flooring products
- Explain product features, benefits, pricing, and installation options
- Prepare and follow up on customer quotes
- Achieve weekly/monthly sales targets
- Develop strong knowledge of all flooring types (carpet, vinyl, laminate, LVT, hardwood, etc.)
- Stay updated on new ranges, promotions, and industry trends
- Maintain a clean, organised, and visually appealing showroom
- Ensure sample stands, displays, and brochures are up to date
- Assist with merchandising and stock checks
- Process sales orders accurately
- Schedule site measurements and coordinate with fitters/installation teams
- Handle customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-store
- Follow up on customer orders and updates
Skills
- Strong customer service or retail sales experience
- Friendly, confident, and able to build rapport easily
- Good communication skills (in person, phone, email)
- Ability to understand measurements, pricing, and quoting
- Basic computer skills (POS systems, email, spreadsheets)
Essential
- Experience in the flooring, home improvement, furniture, or interiors sector
- Knowledge of carpets, laminate, vinyl, LVT, and installation methods
- Experience working towards sales targets
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £28,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
