Shift Supervisor – Join The Countryman

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Shift Supervisor to join the team at The Countryman. This is a hands-on role supporting the day-to-day running of the venue, ensuring excellent customer service, and helping to lead and motivate the team during shifts.
This role can be offered on a part-time or full-time basis, depending on availability and business needs.
The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining high standards across all areas of the business, creating a welcoming and efficient environment for both customers and staff.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the smooth running of shifts and support daily operations
- Lead by example to deliver excellent customer service at all times
- Supervise and support front-of-house staff during service
- Assist with staff training and ongoing development
- Handle customer queries and resolve issues professionally and efficiently
- Ensure the venue is clean, organised, and operating to a high standard
- Assist with stock control, ordering, and deliveries
- Carry out opening and closing procedures, including cash handling
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations
Experience
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within hospitality
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- A proactive and hands-on approach
- Good understanding of health, safety, and licensing requirements
- Experience with stock control and cash handling is desirable
