You will manage your own caseload of civil litigation matters, including contract disputes, debt recovery, professional negligence, and property-related claims. The role involves drafting legal documents, preparing cases for hearings, negotiating settlements, and liaising with clients, counsel, and the courts.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a varied caseload of civil litigation matters from instruction through to resolution
- Advise clients on all aspects of the litigation process under the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR)
- Draft pleadings, witness statements, and settlement agreements
- Conduct legal research and prepare detailed case analyses
- Liaise with clients, counsel, experts, and third parties to progress matters efficiently
- Attend court hearings and advocate where appropriate
- Negotiate settlements and alternative dispute resolutions (ADR)
- Ensure compliance with all professional and regulatory obligations under the SRA Code of Conduct
- Maintain accurate case management records and billing procedures
- Provide excellent client care and clear communication throughout each matter

The Person
- Qualified Solicitor (England and Wales)
- Strong background in civil litigation or dispute resolution
- Sound knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules and court processes
- Excellent negotiation and advocacy skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Highly organised with a keen eye for detail
- Confident managing complex cases independently and under pressure
- Experience using legal case management software is an advantage
