Job Title and Responsibilities Director of Sales - Corporate
The purpose of this role is to lead the corporate sales strategy across the hotels, driving revenue growth through effective leadership, proactive business development, and strong client relationship management. The role is responsible for inspiring and developing a high-performing corporate sales team, ensuring robust planning and forecasting, and maximising opportunities within key corporate segments. By leveraging data, market intelligence, and company sales tools, the role ensures the delivery of sustainable revenue, exceptional client satisfaction, and alignment with the wider business strategy. This position plays a key part in nurturing national and global accounts, identifying new market opportunities, and supporting a culture of collaboration, lead generation, and commercial excellence across the portfolio.

Your Job:
- Build and inspire a dynamic sales team, motivating and empowering them to achieve and exceed sales targets
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- In conjunction with Area Director of Sales, lead hotels strategy in the planning and forecasting of Corporate Business Segments
- Support adopt a culture of lead generation across the hotels.
- Represent the hotels at sales team meetings, internal external customer led events as appropriate.
- Adoption of all available tools to support efficient ways of working including CRM, BI Tool, Market Intelligence Tools and Solver
Customer Facing- Owned Segments
- Develop and nurture relationships for the hotels with key national global clients through ongoing account management.
- Strategic approach of corporate segments and identify opportunities to drive revenue and reduce costs.
- To participate fully in all sales activities including telesales, sales calls, corporate entertaining, fam trips, social events, and overseas sales trips, as necessary.
- Identification and management of new corporate opportunities in your market in line with hotel strategy and across the wider Dalata portfolio.
- Collaborate with Account Management Team to nurture existing, and secure new opportunities following the Dalata sales process.
Planning Forecasting
- Collaborate with Area Director of Sales on rate strategy, budget planning, forecasting for corporate segments and identifying analysing opportunities to ensure they fit with the hotels business strategy.
- Undertake monthly corporate tracking of corporate accounts in the hotels to monitor production and more importantly to identify any decreases and take necessary action to remedy.
- Analysis of GDS production reports market intelligence information to develop this business channel for the hotels.
- Timely production of monthly ad hoc reports
- Write quarterly activity plans to create focus for the hotel team and adapt activity to support business needs.
Team Management
- Regular engagement with team on their performance
- Mentor and coach Corporate Sales Managers and develop talent pipeline
- Ensure Sales team resources are appropriately distributed across the area to meet the demands of the business
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working as a Director/Cluster Sales Manager
- Multi-site experience is a distinct advantage
- Strong leadership skills experience of managing a team
- Effective communicator who promotes collaboration
- Be commercially aware with strong analytical skills, be able to understand key business indicators and competitive trends
- Excellent organisation and planning skills
- Sales focused and results driven
- Knowledge of the Manchester market essential
