About the Role
We are looking for an organised and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Assistant to join our Group Finance Shared Service Centre based at Wakefield.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-paced finance environment, supporting the processing and management of supplier invoices while ensuring service levels and key performance indicators are achieved. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to resolve queries efficiently, maintain accurate financial records, and support continuous improvement initiatives across the Accounts Payable function.
Key Responsibilities
- Process high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently across multiple ERP systems
- Resolve invoice, vendor and site queries in a timely manner
- Perform supplier statement reconciliations for designated vendor accounts
- Support KPI and SLA performance targets within the Shared Service Centre
- Produce regular performance and efficiency reporting
- Ensure compliance with financial controls, procedures and VAT regulations
- Support working capital management through effective Accounts Payable processes
About You
You are a proactive and customer-focused finance professional who enjoys working in a busy environment. You have strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
Whether you have previous experience in Accounts Payable or have gained relevant finance qualifications, you are committed to delivering accurate work and excellent service.
