Responsibilities
- Process and verify invoices using Sage accounting software, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Manage accounts payable functions, including data entry, coding, and payment processing
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Maintain organized records of all transactions for audit readiness
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary documentation for invoice approval
- Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable
- Support the integration of other accounting software such as QuickBooks and Xero to streamline processes
Skills
- Proven experience working with Sage accounting software in an accounts payable role
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or similar accounting platforms
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple invoices efficiently
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial procedures
- Ability to communicate clearly with vendors and internal teams regarding payment inquiries
- Familiarity with handling accounts payable workflows within various accounting software systems
- Prior experience in processing invoices, reconciling statements, and maintaining accurate financial records
