Dental Nurse – Full/Part Time - Immediate Start
We have a vacancy for a dental nurse at our central Croydon practice. The position is full time Monday to Friday.
We require an experienced dental nurse with competence across the full range of general dental treatments. Whilst we are primarily seeking a fully qualified dental nurse registered with the GDC, we will also consider applications from experienced trainee nurses who are already undertaking a self funded course with an approved college and have some prior surgery experience.
Please read this before applying:
To be considered for this role, you must fulfil the following criteria:
- Live within easy and economical travelling distance of Croydon. We will only consider candidates who live in Croydon or its outskirts and cannot consider candidates whose commute would be long or require multiple interchanges en route to minimise the potential disruption to business caused by transport delays.
- Have the unconditional right to work in the UK. We cannot consider applicants who either require Home Office sponsorship or have a UK visa with other restrictive conditions regarding work.
About you:
To be considered, we ask that you fit the following profile:
- Be fully registered as a dental nurse with the General Dental Council although we may consider candidates who are registered on an approved dental nursing course with existing practical nursing experience.
- Fluent in English with good written and oral communication skills
- A demonstrable track record in providing high quality chairside support
- A flexible approach to work and able to work under your own initiative.
- A friendly and approachable personality that fits well into a team.
- Live within easy travelling distance of central Croydon
- Fully vaccinated against hepstitis B

Duties include all the normal tasks expected of a dental nurse including, but not restricted to:
- Providing chairside assistance during treatment
- Cleaning between patients
- Decontamination of instruments
- Entering treatment data etc. into the computerised practice management system
- Assisting patients and putting them at ease prior to treatment.

Pay:
We wish to offer a competitive salary to the right candidate, in particular providing a financial incentive to move to us. The salary we offer to the successful candidate will take account of both their current salary (if appropriate and for which documentary evidence will be requested) and the breadth of their experience. The pay range quoted is applicable to fully qualified and GDC registered nurses. Applications from trainees will be considered on the basis that the pay range will be below this (but fully compliant with all legislation).
How to apply:
Please apply with a CV and covering email setting out why you think you are just the person we’re looking for and including the following information:
