Gardener – Growing Team (Edinburgh & Lothians)

We are a growing gardening business on a mission to make Edinburgh and the Lothians a better place to live, one garden at a time. We take real pride in the service we provide, and we're looking for another great person to join the team as we expand.
The role
Day to day you'll be out doing quality gardening and garden maintenance for our customers — mowing, hedge cutting, pruning, weeding, planting, clearing, and keeping gardens looking their best. The work varies with the weather and the seasons: autumn brings a lot of leaf collection, and there's still plenty of garden work through winter too. We're also looking at expanding into indoor and off-season services — things like interior painting, exterior patio pressure washing, gutter cleaning, and even tree surgery (with the right training provided) — to keep the team busy year-round. For now, though, it's the garden work that comes first.
What we're looking for
- Gardening experience — essential.
- Full UK driving licence and confident driving a Luton van — essential.
- Hardworking, self-driven and genuinely takes pride in a job well done.
- Fit and healthy, with the stamina for physical outdoor work.
- Non-smoker.
- Friendly, professional and great with customers.
- Reliable and punctual — can start early and is flexible with hours.
- Happy working outdoors in all weathers.
- A good attitude and eagerness to learn — handyman or DIY/painting experience is a bonus, not a must.
Pay
£18 per hour, with higher rates available depending on experience. As a growing business, there's a real opportunity for the right person to develop and take on more as we expand.
