General Assistant & Breakfast Cook (Part-Time)
We're looking for a reliable and enthusiastic General Assistant & Breakfast Cook to join our team. This role focuses on preparing breakfast for our guests while also supporting reception, bar and restaurant service, and other hotel operations throughout the day and evening.

The Dolby Hotel Liverpool is an independently owned, 64-bedroom waterfront hotel located at Queen's Dock, just a short walk from the city centre, Albert Dock and the M&S Bank Arena. About the Role
As a General Assistant, you'll be a key member of our small, friendly team, helping to ensure our guests receive a warm welcome and enjoy an excellent stay. The role is ideal for someone with kitchen or hospitality experience, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to get involved in all aspects of hotel operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesBreakfast & Kitchen Duties
- Prepare and serve breakfast to a high standard.
- Assist with food preparation, stock rotation and kitchen cleaning.
- Help with light meal preparation and service in the restaurant and bar.
Reception & Guest Services
- Welcome guests and assist with check-in and check-out.
- Respond to guest enquiries in person, by telephone and online.
- Provide friendly and professional bar and restaurant service.
General Hotel Duties
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen, restaurant and public areas.
- Work alongside housekeeping and maintenance to ensure the hotel operates efficiently.
- Assist with evening shifts and other general hotel duties as required.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a kitchen, catering or front-of-house role is desirable, but not essential, as full training will be provided.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work early morning starts (typically 6:30am or 7:30am).
- Flexible and willing to work a mixture of morning, evening and weekend shifts.
- Friendly, approachable and committed to providing excellent customer service.
- Able to work well both independently and as part of a team in a busy environment.
Hours & Pay
- Part-time: 15-20 hours per week.
- Pay: National Minimum Wage(age dependent).
