About Us
The Carpenters Arms is a busy village pub serving quality food, premium drinks and a warm, professional customer experience. We are looking for an experienced Pub Supervisor to join our management team and help lead our front-of-house operation.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys hospitality, takes pride in excellent service and can confidently manage a shift while supporting and motivating the team.
The Role
You will be responsible for:
- Opening and closing the pub
- Supervising front-of-house staff during service
- Delivering exceptional customer service
- Handling customer queries and resolving issues professionally
- Supporting stock control and cellar management
- Ensuring compliance with licensing, food safety and health & safety requirements
- Training and mentoring team members
- Working closely with management to maintain high standards across the business
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Previous experience as a Supervisor, Team Leader or Assistant Manager within a pub, bar or restaurant
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Excellent customer service skills
- Flexible approach to evenings, weekends and busy periods
Desirable:
- Cellar management experience
- Food service experience
- Knowledge of EPOS systems
- First Aid qualification
