Job Summary
The successful candidate will Bench Hand Joiner will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining woodworking machinery to manufacture high-quality bespoke joinery products.
The successful Wood machinist will:
- Set up and operate a range of woodworking machinery, including spindle moulders, panel saws, planers, edge banders, CNC machinery, and other specialist equipment.
- Manufacture bespoke joinery components to precise specifications and quality standards.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, cutting lists, and production schedules.
- Select appropriate timber and sheet materials for production requirements.
- Ensure all machined components meet dimensional and quality requirements.
- Carry out routine machine maintenance and report any faults or defects.
- Have the ability to read drawings and work with own initiative
- Good communication skills to work effectively within a team environment.
The hours of work are Monday to Friday, 07:30-16:00 with the factory open from 6.00am to 6.00pm (overtime at time and a half after 42 hours).

Education:
- A-Level or equivalent (preferred)
Experience:
- wood machining: 2 years (required)
- bespoke joinery: 2 years (preferred)
- CNC operation: 2 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Forklift Licence (preferred)
