Job Overview
We are a high end bespoke cabinet makers based in Burgess Hill. We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team.
This role involves delivering goods from our premisis in Burgess Hill, West Sussex to our clients in central London locations.
The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, experience in warehouse operations, and the ability to handle physical tasks efficiently. A professional attitude and excellent communication skills are essential for providing outstanding service to our clients and maintaining smooth operations.
The role would initially be 3 days per week, 8 hrs per day.
Duties
- Safely operate company delivery vehicle (Long Wheelbase Panel Van), ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
- Load and unload goods, often requiring heavy lifting, while adhering to safety protocols.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding delivery schedules or any issues encountered during routes.
- Follow all relevant health and safety regulations during driving and yard tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle logs.
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles.
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
- Aged 25 + for insurance purposes.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail when managing deliveries and stock organisation.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing priorities.

Pay: From £14.00 per hour
