Van Driver / Warehouse Operative
Location: Gravesend, Kent
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Diamond Direct Supplies is an independent builders merchant supplying construction materials, tools, fixings, PPE and site consumables to customers across London and Kent. We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Van Driver / Warehouse Operative to join our small, friendly team.
This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You'll be making deliveries to building sites and customers, preparing orders, receiving stock and helping keep our warehouse running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver goods safely and professionally to customers throughout London and Kent.
- Load and unload deliveries, ensuring goods are handled with care.
- Pick, pack and prepare customer orders accurately.
- Receive deliveries from suppliers and put stock away correctly.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organised and safe.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
- Assist with stock control and general warehouse duties.
- Provide excellent customer service when making deliveries and representing the company.
What We're Looking For
- Full UK driving licence (clean licence preferred).
- Previous van driving experience is desirable.
- Warehouse or builders merchant experience would be an advantage.
- Good level of physical fitness, as the role involves lifting and moving stock.
- Reliable, punctual and willing to work as part of a small team.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
