Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Landscape Labourer to join our team on a full-time basis. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about outdoor work, gardening, and horticulture. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting various landscape maintenance projects, ensuring high standards of quality and safety across all tasks. Prior experience in construction, gardening, or horticulture is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. A strong work ethic, mechanical knowledge, and familiarity with hand tools and power tools are highly desirable qualities for this position.
Duties
- Assisting with landscape maintenance tasks such as planting, pruning, mowing, and fertilising to uphold client standards
- Operating and maintaining machinery including excavators, irrigation systems, and other power tools
- Using hand tools for planting, digging, trimming, and general site preparation
- Performing routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal functionality and safety
- Supporting construction activities related to landscape projects, including groundwork and site clearance
- Assisting with the installation of irrigation systems and other horticultural features
- Ensuring all work areas are kept clean, organised, and safe in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Collaborating with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively
Experience
- Previous experience in landscape maintenance or gardening is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Mechanical knowledge related to operating machinery such as excavators or power tools is advantageous
- Familiarity with the use of hand tools and power tools for gardening or construction work is desirable
- Experience in construction or horticulture will be considered a strong asset
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining high standards of safety and quality
- Good organisational skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately and work as part of a team
Pay: £13.75-£17.00 per hour
