Line Operator
Department: Production
Shift Pattern: 4 days on / 4 days off (6:55 am – 7:00 pm)
Reports to: Line Manager / Shift Production Manager
Purpose of the Role
As a Line Operator, you’ll play a key role in keeping our production line running smoothly and efficiently. You’ll ensure machinery and team members are set up for success, maintain high-quality standards, and help us deliver products our customers can trust. This is a hands-on role where attention to detail, teamwork, and technical know-how make all the difference.
What You’ll Do
- Start the line on time and ensure everything is ready for production.
- Operate and monitor machinery, printers, and equipment throughout the shift.
- Keep production records accurate and up to date.
- Troubleshoot issues quickly to keep targets on track.
- Support the Line Manager with paperwork and reporting.
- Ensure the team follows safety, hygiene, and PPE requirements.
- Participate in start-up and end-of-shift cleaning and equipment checks.
Key Responsibilities
- Run the production line efficiently and safely.
- Monitor performance targets and report any shortfalls.
- Handle machine alarms, product misfeeds, and print issues.
- Manage materials, labels, and packaging to ensure accuracy.
Training & Requirements
- Full training provided on machinery, safety checks, and documentation.
- Basic understanding of production processes and controlled item handling.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £12.21-£14.98 per hour
Expected hours: 42 per week
