Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and in their own homes, ensuring they receive high-quality care tailored to their individual needs. Responsibilities
- Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Support the implementation of personalised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals
- Monitor and record vital signs and health conditions accurately
- Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals in care settings or at home
- Assist with medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents or clients
- Communicate effectively with team members, residents, families, and external healthcare providers
- Drive or accompany clients to appointments or outings as required (driving experience preferred)
Skills
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively within a care home environment or providing home care services
- Competent IT skills for documentation and reporting purposes
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others’ wellbeing
- Ability to follow care plans accurately and adapt to individual needs
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in fast-paced settings
