Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Preschool After School Assistant to support our early childhood education programme. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supervising and engaging with children aged 3 to 11 years in after school hours, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about childcare and education, with experience in teaching, childcare settings.
Duties
- Supervise children during after school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Organise and facilitate age-appropriate activities that promote learning and socialisation
- Assist children with homework or educational tasks as needed
- Support children in developing social skills through positive interaction and behaviour management
- Coordinate with parents and teachers regarding children's needs and progress
- Drive children to and from designated activities or outings when required
- Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming environment within the childcare setting
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations at all times
Experience
- Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or similar roles is highly desirable.
- NVQ 3 in childcare and education.
- Familiarity with early childhood development principles and educational activities
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Demonstrated patience, organisation skills, and a caring attitude towards young children
