Our brand-new hotel in the heart of Belfast City is now looking for a Maintenance Assistant who’s hands-on, high energy, and ready to help keep things running smoothly behind the scenes.
Your Mission:
As Maintenance Assistant, you’ll work closely with the Maintenance Manager to make sure everything in the hotel is in top shape. From routine checks to quick fixes, you’ll help create a safe, well-maintained, and vibrant space for our guests and crew.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Hands-On Help – carry out day-to-day maintenance tasks, repairs, and inspections.
- Painting & Decorating – take on touch-ups, re-painting, and general decorating to keep the hotel looking fresh and stylish.
- Safety First – assist with compliance checks for safety, fire, and health regulations.
- Upkeep – support with the maintenance of equipment, plumbing, electrical systems, and the overall property.
- Teamwork – work alongside the Maintenance Manager, contractors, and other departments to get the job done.
- Problem Solving – respond quickly to issues and find practical solutions.
- Communication – keep your manager and team updated with clear, positive communication.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in maintenance, engineering, or a similar role (hospitality experience is a plus but not essential).
- Practical skills in general repairs, painting, and basic electrical/plumbing.
- A flexible, can-do attitude, ready to take on a variety of tasks.
- A team player who enjoys working with others and can stay cool under pressure.
