This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on Assembly Operator to join a fast-growing, proud British manufacturing company specializing in high-quality extraction and fabrication systems.
Due to continuing expansion and strong demand, we are looking for a capable Assembly Operator with previous mechanical/workshop assembly experience to help assemble and finish our products. A forklift licence is highly desirable.
The Role
As an Assembly Operator, you will work in a clean, modern workshop bringing finished sheet metal and sub-assemblies together into complete systems ready for testing and dispatch.
Day-to-day duties will include:
- Assembling mechanical components, sheet metal housings, ducting, and sub-assemblies using hand and power tools.
- Following assembly drawings, standard operating procedures, and job cards accurately.
- Conducting final visual inspections and basic functional checks on completed units.
- Using a forklift to safely move assembled units, pallets, and components across the shop floor.
- Packing, palletizing, and prepping finished goods for dispatch.
- Collaborating with the fabrication, paint, and dispatch teams to hit production schedules.
Working Hours & Perks
- Working hours: Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Friday: 8:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Early finish for the weekend)

What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a mechanical assembly, workshop, or manufacturing environment.
- Comfortable using hand tools, air/power tools, pop riveters, and basic workshop equipment.
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift licence (FLT) is strongly preferred / ideal.
- Ability to follow assembly drawings, diagrams, and technical work instructions.
- A reliable, quality-focused team player who takes pride in neat, high-standard workmanship.
