We are currently looking for motivated and quality driven full time Children’s Complex Care Support Workers / Caregivers in Falkirk/Grangemouth/Larbert to join our growing Homecare Scotland family.

The Clients:
We support a number of families in the Falkirk area and are looking for staff who can provide weekly respite & school holiday care for children. Our clients have autism, ADHD or learning difficulties and can exhibit challenging behaviours. Our shifts can vary across clients and families across wrap around school care, respite care and school holiday cover.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support with social activities and outings
- Personal care and helping with washing and changing
- Support in manging challenging behaviour
- Experience of learning disabilities and autism
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Extensive previous experience working with children/teenagers that have complex needs
- A good understanding of Autism and learning disabilities.
- Have a team player attitude while showing empathy and understanding in demanding situations
- A great sense of fun and humour, we value developing warm positive relationships with everyone we support
- Adaptive communication and ability to understand alternative methods of communication including Makaton (desirable)
- Due to client's location - a driving licence is essential.
Required Shift Cover:
- After school care and weekend support from 14 hours per week
- Potential for increased hours over school holidays
- 1:1 care required at all times
