Job Advert Summary
At NewDay, you'll play a key role in supporting our Litigation team with the handling of claims, disputes, and litigation matters. Working closely with the Litigation Specialist, external solicitors, customers, and teams across the business, you'll help progress cases efficiently, accurately, and in line with legal, regulatory, and organisational requirements. From reviewing and organising case documentation to gathering and analysing evidence, maintaining records, monitoring deadlines, and identifying risks for escalation, you'll contribute to the timely and cost-effective resolution of litigation matters while driving continuous improvement. Success in this role comes from building strong relationships across NewDay and with external partners, ensuring seamless coordination of legal matters and delivering a high standard of service in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
How you’ll contribute
Support the management of litigation and dispute resolution cases from instruction through to resolution.
Prepare, review and organise legal documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with court procedures.
Coordinate court filings, monitor deadlines and maintain case records to keep matters progressing smoothly.
Work closely with internal stakeholders, external legal partners and Counsel to support case delivery.
Help protect the business by ensuring legal matters are handled efficiently, professionally and in line with regulatory requirements.
We're looking for these essential skills
Strong legal administration or case management experience within a litigation or dispute resolution environment.
The ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while prioritising competing deadlines.
Working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) and Practice Directions.
Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational and document management skills.
Confident written communication skills with experience drafting routine legal correspondence and documentation.
It's a plus if you also have these skills
Knowledge of the Consumer Credit Act 1974 and FCA CONC and DISP rules.
Experience supporting complaint handling, claims or regulated financial services litigation.
Familiarity with court filing processes and instructing external Counsel.
Experience producing case reports, tracking litigation progress and maintaining legal records.
A proactive approach with the ability to identify improvements and build broader litigation expertise over time.
This role could also be known as a Legal Assistant or Legal Administrator
