Established since 1987, this 24 bedded Home in Sherwood, Nottingham specialises in residential, nursing and dementia care. We have a food hygiene rating 5 and are a family led Home.
As a multi-cultural home, we are looking for someone that can cook a variety of dishes, from traditional English to Caribbean and Indian. You will also have a level 2 Food hygiene certificate. Training for the role will be provided.
Your role will include:
- Preparing all meals and snacks taking into consideration all dietary requirements and requests by residents
- Priorities tasks
- Managing the kitchen to ensure that meals are delivered in a timely manner
- Assist residents to eat when required
- Maintain a clean and hazard free kitchen and store cupboard environment, following COSHH standards
- Document and adhere to food standard practices including checking fridge and freezer temperatures, expiry dates, checking deliveries for instance
- Checking stock
