About the Team
The Family Support Team provides specialist support to autistic children, young people and their families. We help parents and carers build knowledge, confidence and resilience through tailored support, information, courses, activities and guidance. Working in partnership with local services and community organisations, we ensure families can access the support they need and improve outcomes for autistic children and young people.
About the Role
As a Family Support Coordinator, you will deliver high-quality support services for autistic children, young people and their families across the London Borough of Croydon. You will provide practical and emotional support through courses, workshops, one-to-one appointments and community engagement activities, helping families to better understand autism, navigate local services and access the support available to them. The role requires a compassionate, organised and adaptable individual who can build strong relationships with families, professionals and partner organisations while ensuring services are delivered safely, effectively and in line with safeguarding and data protection requirements.
What You’ll Do

Deliver face-to-face and virtual courses and programmes for parents and carers of autistic children and young people.

Provide one-to-one support through home visits, telephone consultations and virtual appointments.

Offer practical advice, emotional support, guidance and signposting to relevant services and support networks.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience supporting autistic children, young people and their families in an advisory or support capacity.

A minimum of three years' experience working with autistic children and/or young people.

A minimum of three years' experience supporting parents and carers in an advisory capacity.

This advert is for a part-time position, fixed term at 15 hours per week across 2 days until 31st March 2027.
This role is Home-based with frequent travel throughout the London Borough of Croydon and occasional travel across London and the South East.
