Duties
- Collaborate closely with clients to understand their vision, preferences, and requirements for each event or wedding.
- Develop comprehensive event timelines, budgets, and detailed plans to ensure seamless execution from start to finish.
- Coordinate with vendors, venues, caterers, decorators, and other service providers to secure necessary arrangements and maintain clear communication.
- Oversee setup, decoration, and breakdown processes on the event day to ensure all elements align with client expectations.
- Manage on-site operations during events, addressing any issues promptly while maintaining a positive guest experience.
- Upsell additional services or upgrades to enhance client satisfaction and maximize revenue opportunities.
- Utilize excellent time management skills to juggle multiple events simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
Experience
- Proven experience in event planning or coordination within the hospitality industry, including hotel or restaurant settings preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients, vendors, and team members effectively.
- Demonstrated ability in upselling services or products to enhance guest experiences and increase revenue streams.
- Experience in fundraising or managing charitable events is a plus.
- Background in guest services or hospitality roles that emphasize exceptional customer care.
- Familiarity with time management tools and software used for event planning is advantageous.
