Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic hospitality team. Duties
- Washing, peeling, and preparing ingredients for cooking or service
- Cleaning dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to high standards
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under supervision
- Maintaining cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Supporting the organisation of stock and supplies within the kitchen
- Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures
- Ensuring compliance with hygiene standards at all times
- Supporting the overall organisation of the kitchen to facilitate smooth service flow
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is advantageous but not essential as training will be provided
- Familiarity with food preparation and basic cooking techniques is desirable
- Experience working in a busy kitchen or hospitality setting will be beneficial
- A keen interest in culinary arts or hospitality industry careers is encouraged
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure are essential
