JLGB is looking for an enthusiastic and confident Session Worker to help deliver our Generation Resilience programme in Jewish Schools across East London, North London, Hertfordshire and Essex.
Generation Resilience gives young people fun, engaging opportunities to build confidence, resilience, life skills, identity and a stronger sense of belonging.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking for regular, meaningful part-time work that can fit alongside another job, freelance work, study or other commitments.
The role
You’ll deliver structured, interactive sessions with young people aged 8-16 during the school day.
JLGB will provide session plans, activities, resources, training and ongoing support. Your role is to bring the programme to life, engage the young people and create a positive environment where everyone can get involved.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering fun and engaging Generation Resilience sessions
- Creating a positive, inclusive and safe environment
- Building good relationships with pupils and school staff
- Managing behaviour confidently and appropriately
- Recording attendance and completing simple session feedback
- Communicating with the JLGB team where needed

Monday afternoons during school term time
Redbridge
There may also be opportunities to take on additional paid sessions at other times during the week.
Who are we looking for?
We’d particularly like to hear from people who:
- Enjoy working with young people
- Are confident leading activities or groups
- Are reliable, organised and enthusiastic
- Can communicate well with young people and adults
- Have experience through youth work, education, volunteering, camps, clubs, coaching or similar roles
- Are comfortable working independently
- Can reliably travel to schools in Essex
Experience working with children aged 8 to 15 is desirable but not essential.
