Bridies Rossdowney is looking for an experienced Prep Cook to join our growing team.

The Role
As our Prep Cook, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the kitchen is fully prepared for service, as well as food production for an ever expanding wholesale line. You'll be responsible for producing high-quality battered menu items while maintaining exceptional food hygiene and organisation. This is a daytime role and may require early morning starts.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare fresh ingredients to our recipes and specifications.
- Prepare meats, sauces, batters and other menu items.
- Portion and label products accurately.
- Rotate stock using FIFO principles and minimise waste.
- Receive and organise deliveries.
- Maintain a spotless prep area throughout every shift.
- Follow all food safety, HACCP and hygiene procedures.
- Work efficiently to ensure the kitchen is fully prepared before service.
- Support the kitchen team during busy trading periods when required.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience in a busy commercial kitchen or takeaway (essential).
- Has excellent knife skills and food preparation experience.
- Understands food safety and hygiene to a high standard.
- Works well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Is dependable, punctual and takes pride in their work.
- Has a positive attitude and enjoys working as part of a team.
