About the role
Crystal Hawk Ltd is a family-run cleaning company providing professional cleaning services throughout Aberdeen and the surrounding areas.
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and detail-focused cleaner to join our growing team.
This position offers a minimum of 15 guaranteed hours per week, with the possibility of additional hours depending on workload, customer requirements and the continued growth of the business.
Applicants must be available for at least 3 weekdays per week, with approximately 5–8 hours of availability on each of those days.
The 3 weekdays can be flexible and do not need to be the same every week.
At present, we aim to provide the following week's rota as early as possible on the preceding Friday. However, due to the nature of our business, we occasionally receive cleaning requests from customers at short notice. We therefore require a reasonable level of flexibility with working days and times.
The majority of the work takes place during daytime hours, Monday to Friday.
For applicants who have a driving licence and access to their own car, there may also be opportunities for additional hours in the early mornings and evenings.
As Crystal Hawk continues to grow, we expect to create further supervisory opportunities. A successful candidate who consistently upholds our high standards of cleaning, reliability and customer service will be given priority consideration for a future Team Leader position.
Main responsibilities
The role will mainly involve:
- End-of-tenancy cleaning during daytime hours
- Cleaning properties thoroughly and preparing them for new tenants
- Regular cleaning for recurring domestic and commercial customers
- Cleaning kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and living areas
- Vacuuming, mopping, dusting and general deep cleaning
- Following cleaning instructions and property-specific checklists
- Using cleaning equipment and products safely
- Maintaining a consistently high standard of work
- Reporting any damage, maintenance issues or concerns promptly
What we are looking for
- Availability for at least 3 weekdays per week
- Approximately 5–8 hours of availability on each available working day
- Weekdays can be flexible and do not need to be the same each week
- A reasonable level of flexibility to accommodate occasional short-notice customer bookings
- Good daytime availability Monday to Friday
- Reliable, punctual and trustworthy
- Strong attention to detail
- Someone who takes pride in maintaining high cleaning standards
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Able to follow instructions and complete work to a consistently high standard
- Good communication skills
- Previous cleaning experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided
- A driving licence and access to a car is preferred but not essential
- Someone interested in taking on greater responsibility as the company grows
