Overview
Tongda Distribution Ltd is recruiting experienced and professional HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our team in Wellingborough. This role is container-only, covering UK-wide deliveries using our well-maintained fleet.
What We Offer
- £45,000 annual salary (PAYE) – paid monthly
- Salary based on 5 working days out of 7 (days may vary and can include weekends)
- £25 night-out allowance
- Overtime: 18£ per hour
- Company-funded Driver CPC renewals
- Pension scheme (auto-enrolment)Working Pattern
- Start times vary depending on load and port schedules
- Work pattern: up to 50 duty hours per week, worked across any 5 days out of 7 (including weekends where required).
- Most shifts return to the depot on the same day. Night outs are occasional and paid at £25 per night.
- All work planned in line with Drivers’ Hours Rules and Working Time Regulations
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 1 vehicles on UK container routes
- Complete daily vehicle checks and defect reports
- Use tachograph systems correctly and comply with legal requirements Handle and secure container loads at ports and customer sites
- Communicate effectively with planners and customers
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and care Requirements
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card Good knowledge of UK roads
- Professional and reliable attitude
- Container experience preferred – training can be provided
