Duties
- Assist dentists during examinations, treatments, and procedures by preparing instruments and materials.
- Ensure patient comfort by providing clear instructions and compassionate support throughout their visit.
- Maintain high standards of infection control and sterilization in accordance with health regulations.
- Manage patient records accurately using IT systems, including updating treatment notes and scheduling appointments.
- Provide excellent communication to answer patient questions, explain procedures, and offer post-treatment advice.
- Support administrative tasks such as booking appointments, managing patient flow, and maintaining clinical supplies.
- Uphold health and safety standards to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Qualified Dental Nurse or similar role within a dental practice.
- Valid GDC registration and Indemnity as a qualified Dental Nurse with the appropriate regulatory body.
- Strong patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
- A caring and compassionate approach towards patients and colleagues.
- Proficiency in IT systems used for record-keeping and appointment management.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise confidently with patients, colleagues, and external providers.
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive attitude towards learning and professional development.
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and health & safety regulations relevant to dental care.
