Are you looking for a flexible weekend role that allows you to have a work life balance ? We are recruiting Weekend Part Time Child Contact supervisors to work across our two contact centres in Hassocks and Haywards Heath, West Sussex and the Sussex community. Applicants must be available to work weekly on Sundays.
Our family time supervisors oversee supervised child contact sessions between a parent and child in our Haywards Heath and Hassocks Child Contact Centres and the Sussex community so it is essential that candidates are happy to travel and undertake lone working with a family in the community as well as in our centres. Travel time is paid for community based work but not when you are working in our two centres.
As a Child Contact Supervisor, you’ll play a crucial role in facilitating safe and supportive family time between children and their non-resident parents or significant others. You’ll oversee these sessions ensuring that the environment remains positive and safe for the children and writing a report. The children we work with may be living with a parent, an extended family member or foster carer.
At the present time we need people able to work Sundays but there may be the opportunity to cover other sessions due to staff leave, peak times and as more families use our service based on your general availability and our needs. Whilst the sessions are often weekly (typically around 2-3 hours per family time session) it may only be a few sessions over a weekend that we you will be supervising and lengths vary according to family need.
The nature of our work is demand driven. This is due to new families starting our services, some having less frequent sessions, and others moving on to alternative family arrangements in the long term. Therefore all roles are zero-hour bank contracts. We cannot guarantee minimum hours each week, so please ensure this would work for you before applying.
Occasionally you may also undertake some child transport from a foster placement or school to the contact centres
