We take pride in our craftsmanship, and we’re looking for a dedicated Fitter/ Driver to ensure our products are delivered safely and installed perfectly.
The Role
We are looking for a reliable, hands-on Furniture Fitter & Delivery Driver to join our team. In this dual role, you will be the face of our company on-site. You will be responsible for safely transporting our custom-made banquette seating and furniture from our workshop to clients, and meticulously installing it into various commercial (restaurants, bars, offices) and residential spaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Driving & Delivery: Safely load, secure, and transport furniture using a company vehicle (typically a 3.5t van). Ensure items are protected against damage during transit.
- On-Site Installation: Fit, assemble, and secure banquette seating, booths, and paneling onto site walls and floors. This includes scribing, trimming, and making minor on-site adjustments for a seamless finish.
- Client Interaction: Act as a professional representative of our brand, communicating clearly with site managers, designers, or homeowners upon arrival.
- Problem Solving: Address minor installation challenges on-site (e.g., uneven floors or out-of-plumb walls) quickly and cleanly.
- Safety & Maintenance: Keep the company vehicle clean, organized, and perform basic daily checks. Adhere to site health and safety guidelines.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: Proven experience in furniture fitting, carpentry, joinery, or high-end shopfitting. Experience installing fixed or banquette seating is a massive plus.
- Tool Savvy: Confident using a wide range of hand and power tools (drills, saws, levels) with a sharp eye for detail.
- Driving License: A clean, valid driving license (suitable for a standard 3.5t van) and a confident driving history.
- Physical Fitness: This is a physically demanding role that involves lifting and maneuvering heavy furniture sections daily.
- Attitude: Reliable, punctual, and a team player who takes pride in a job well done.
