Job Summary:
Coventry Rugby Club is seeking reliable and hardworking Cleaners to help maintain the cleanliness and presentation of Butts Park Arena. The role involves pre- and post-match cleaning, general stadium upkeep, and ensuring that our facilities are welcoming and safe for fans, players, staff, and guests.
Key Responsibilities:
General Duties (Non-Match Days):
- Clean and sanitise stadium areas including stands, concourses, hospitality suites, offices, changing rooms, and toilets.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust public and staff areas.
- Empty bins and dispose of rubbish appropriately.
- Replenish consumables (toilet paper, soap, paper towels, etc.).
- Report any maintenance or health & safety issues to the Facilities Manager.
Match Day Duties:
- Assist in preparing the stadium before gates open (cleaning seating areas, toilets, and hospitality zones).
- Maintain cleanliness of public areas during matches, including quick response to spills and bin emptying.
- Post-match cleaning of stands, walkways, hospitality, and changing areas.
- Work alongside other match day staff to ensure a clean and safe environment for spectators and teams.
Key Requirements:
- Previous cleaning experience (preferably in a stadium, event venue, or public building).
- Good awareness of health & safety and COSHH regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible availability, especially for evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Punctual, trustworthy, and attention to detail.
- Physically fit – the role involves a lot of walking, standing, and manual tasks.
Desirable:
- First aid or manual handling training (beneficial, but not essential).
- Experience working in a sporting or events environment.
Working Hours:
- Hours will vary depending on match schedules and stadium events.
- Shifts available on weekday mornings/afternoons and all home match days (usually weekends or Friday evenings).
