We are seeking a Robotic Weld Cell Operator to join our engineering and fabrication team at our Longton site. Operating on the shop floor, you will be responsible for loading, setting, and running automated MIG/MAG robotic welding cells to produce high-precision metal components. The successful candidates will work as part of our busy production team based at our Headquarters in Stoke-on-Trent.
Key Responsibilities
Cell Operation & Setting: Load raw steel fabrications into jigs and fixtures, run automated weld cycles, and safely unload finished assemblies.
Quality & First-Off Inspection: Conduct visual weld inspections and perform dimensional checks, using tape measures and set squares, against engineering drawings.
Basic Maintenance & Consumables: Change welding wire spools, contact tips, and shrouds.
Shop Floor Housekeeping: Maintain clean, safe working areas following health & safety regulations.
Production Logs: Complete job cards and trace logs accurately for continuous quality monitoring.
Ideally the successful candidate will have experience operating machinery although not essential as full training will be given.
The above positions will be rewarded with a permanent contract, progressive rates of pay, 32 days paid holidays per year plus loyalty days (up to 34 days), auto-enrolment into our pension scheme which includes 5% employer contributions and employee life insurance.
Working 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday on a rotating days/noons shift. 06:00 - 14:00, 14:00 - 22:00 Rotates weekly.
06:00 - 13:00, 13:00 - 20:00 on a Friday
