About the Role
We are seeking an organised and detail-focused Shipping Administrator to support daily shipping, parcel dispatch, courier coordination, and delivery administration.
You will prepare shipping documents, arrange courier collections, update tracking information, maintain accurate records, and communicate with customers, colleagues, and delivery providers.
Previous shipping experience is helpful but not essential. Training on company procedures, tracking systems, courier platforms, and document requirements will be provided.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare parcels, documents, and shipments for dispatch
- Create shipping labels and routine delivery documents
- Arrange courier collections using approved service providers
- Enter shipment details into company and courier systems
- Monitor deliveries and update tracking information
- Maintain accurate dispatch and proof-of-delivery records
- Check customer names, addresses, quantities, and shipping instructions
- Respond to routine shipment and delivery enquiries
- Contact couriers regarding collections, delays, and missing items
- Update customers and internal teams on shipment progress
- Report damaged, delayed, or incorrectly delivered items
- Organise digital shipping documents and correspondence
- Prepare basic spreadsheets and shipping activity reports
- Maintain packaging, labels, and dispatch supplies
- Coordinate with mail-processing and administrative colleagues
- Handle customer and delivery information confidentially
- Support general office and logistics administration when required
- Follow company security, data-protection, and workplace procedures
What We Are Looking For
Experience
- Previous experience in administration, customer service, retail, warehouse support, mail services, or logistics is helpful but not essential
- Applications from school leavers, career starters, and candidates changing industries are welcome
- Previous exposure to courier, dispatch, or shipping procedures is beneficial but not required
Skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy

- Basic computer and keyboard skills
- Comfortable using email, Microsoft Word, and spreadsheets

Education
- GCSEs or equivalent qualifications are preferred
- A university degree is not required
- Relevant practical, administrative, customer-service, or volunteer experience will be considered
Pay: £25,420.00-£29,000.00 per year
