Baltic Recruitment are currently recruiting for a FLT Driver, for a client located in Ferryhill. This is a Temp to Perm role, the successful candidate will be responsible for the safe receipt, storage, movement, and control of raw materials within a manufacturing environment.
FLT Driver Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Operating forklift trucks and material handling equipment
- Moving and storing materials safely,
- Loading and unloading goods
- Supporting production and assembly teams with material handling
- Carrying out routine equipment checks
- Ensuring materials are stored safely and correctly
- Maintaining high housekeeping standards, reporting any equipment or material issues, and adhering to all health and safety procedures
FLT Driver Applicants:
- Must hold a valid Counterbalance Forklift License
- Must have previous forklift experience within a manufacturing or warehouse environment
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Experience of working with inventory systems is desirable but not essential

Initially starting on dayshift for induction and training before moving onto a 2-shift rotation. Hourly rates:
Days: £12.71
2-shift: £15.25
Day Shift:
Monday to Thursday 8am – 5pm and Friday 8am – 12.30pm.
2-Shifts:
Monday to Thursday 2.30pm – 11pm and Friday 12.30pm – 7pm & Monday to Thursday 6am – 2.30pm and Friday 6am – 12.30pm.
Training and support provided to ensure ongoing development and progression within the business, alongside opportunities to mentor and support less experienced team members. Applicants must be 18 or over for health and safety reasons.
