Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as Trainee Hairdressers. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop foundational skills in hairdressing and beauty services within a dynamic salon environment. Candidates will gain practical experience while working alongside experienced professionals, with the chance to specialise in areas such as barbering, eyelash extensions, and makeup application. A passion for customer service and a keen interest in the beauty industry are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Assist senior stylists with daily salon operations, including preparing workstations and maintaining cleanliness standards
- Support clients by providing excellent customer service, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction throughout their visit
- Learn and perform basic hair cutting, colouring, and styling techniques under supervision
- Manage front desk duties such as appointment scheduling, client check-in, and answering enquiries
- Promote additional services such as eyelash extensions and makeup application through upselling opportunities
- Contribute to store management tasks, including stock organisation and product display maintenance
- Mentor new trainees and support team members to foster a collaborative work environment
- Develop communication skills by engaging confidently with clients and team members
Experience
- No prior professional experience required; training will be provided on all aspects of hairdressing and client care
- A genuine interest in hairdressing, barbering, or beauty therapy is desirable
- Previous experience in customer service or front desk roles is advantageous but not essential
- Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanour are vital for building rapport with clients
- Willingness to learn new skills such as eyelash extensions and makeup application
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment and follow guidance from experienced staff
Pay: From £24,420.00 per year
