We're looking for a motivated and reliable Trade Counter / Warehouse Operative to join our team. This is a varied role combining customer-facing trade counter duties with warehouse operations, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve customers professionally at the trade counter.
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Provide product advice and recommend suitable alternatives where appropriate.
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders.
- Receive, check, and put away deliveries.
- Maintain accurate stock levels and assist with stock counts.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organised, and safe.
- Load and unload delivery vehicles when required.
- Carry out local customer deliveries as required.
- Support the wider branch team to ensure excellent customer service.
- Follow all company health and safety procedures.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Is organised, reliable, and able to prioritise tasks.
- Works well both independently and as part of a team.
- Has a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Is physically capable of carrying out warehouse duties.
- Has basic computer skills.
- Holds a full, valid UK driving licence (essential).
- Previous experience in an electrical wholesaler, builders' merchant, plumbing merchant, or similar trade environment is desirable but not essential.
- Knowledge of electrical products would be an advantage, but full training will be provided.

Working Hours
Monday to Friday: 7:30am–5:00pm
Saturdays: 1 per month
