We are currently seeking a professional, organised, and proactive Security Controller to join our team and support the operational management of our mobile patrol and manned guarding services.
Role Overview
As a Security Controller, you will be a key point of contact for both clients and operational staff. You will oversee day-to-day coordination of security patrols, rostering, job management systems, and client communications. Your role ensures that all client requirements are met professionally and efficiently, while supporting internal processes related to payroll, reporting, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Communications
Answer incoming phone calls and direct appropriately.
Respond promptly and professionally to client enquiries via phone and email.
Ensure management is informed of any client issues that may affect service delivery or relationships.
Client Job Management
Ensure all client jobs are correctly logged, updated, and closed down on relevant applications.
Post all scheduled patrol routes on the company’s job management system in advance.
Check for missed jobs daily, investigate any discrepancies, correct them in the system, and inform clients with the reason for any missed job.
Send completed patrol reports to clients in a timely and accurate manner.
Mobile Patrol Officer Oversight
Maintain a daily log of all patrol officers’ hours on the internal spreadsheet to support accurate wage calculations.
On the 1st of each month, send mobile patrol officers a summary of their hours and a breakdown of expected pay.
Manned Guarding Administration
Create and maintain rotas for all manned guarding sites at least 3 months in advance.
Communicate shifts clearly to all officers via each site’s WhatsApp group.
Manage and record staff holidays, sickness, and shift blowouts effectively.
Log manned guarding hours daily on the spreadsheet to support accurate payroll.
On the 1st of each month, send officers their monthly hours and expected pay breakdown.
Monitoring & Compliance
Monitor the company’s vehicle tracking software and carry out regular spot checks on driver behaviour including speeding, harsh braking, and idling.
Report any issues or concerns to management promptly.
Key Skills and Attributes
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Excellent communication skills – written and verbal.
High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting.
Comfortable working with spreadsheets, job management systems, and tracking software.
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, reactive environment.
Discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive or confidential information.
Confident in taking initiative and solving problems independently.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £32,400.00-£36,800.00 per year
