Chandlers Bar is Chesterfield's primary cocktail bar and we're looking for someone to join our small, friendly team. At Chandlers we put customer service first, always, and so the candidate must have excellent customer service skills and be friendly and professional. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, preparing and serving beverages, and ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality and customer service to develop their skills in a creative and welcoming environment. Previous bar experience is helpful but not strictly necessary. The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent time management, organisational skills, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. While learning the bar the candidate will also be required to do glass collecting and bar back shifts to ensure they know all levels of the job and can work with everyone else as a team.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with company standards.
- Learn the cocktail recipes both from the menu, as well as gain product knowledge and an understanding of the stock we hold and sell.
- Greet guests warmly and take orders accurately, ensuring prompt service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age and promote responsible alcohol consumption.
- Manage cash register operations, including handling payments and giving correct change.
- Restock bar supplies as needed, including glassware, garnishes, and beverages.
- Engage with guests to create a positive atmosphere and encourage repeat business.
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to ensure a safe environment for both staff and patrons.
