Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Deputy Manager to support the smooth operation of our childcare centre. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for working with children and fostering their development. Duties
- Assist the Nursery Manager in overseeing daily centre operations and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
- Support the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development
- Supervise staff members, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to maintain high standards of childcare
- Engage directly with children, encouraging their social, emotional, and cognitive growth through interactive play and educational activities
- Maintain effective communication with parents and carers regarding children's progress and centre updates
- Ensure health and safety procedures are rigorously followed, including risk assessments and safeguarding policies
- Assist in managing administrative tasks such as record keeping, staff rotas, and resource management
- Drive responsibilities may include transporting children or staff as required, subject to valid driving licence
Skills
- Proven management and leadership experience within a nursery or early childhood education setting
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children, understanding their developmental needs
- Knowledge of childcare regulations, safeguarding procedures, and early childhood curriculum frameworks
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a busy environment
- Compassionate approach with a genuine passion for childcare and child development
- Valid driving licence is desirable for transportation duties

Pay: £34,320.00-£37,440.00 per year
