The Role:
The Senior Residence Life Adviser will provide effective operational leadership for the Residence Life service, ensuring the effective delivery of welfare support and monitoring of behavioural standards within halls of residence.
The role leads a team of Residence Life staff, has oversight of complex welfare cases, and oversees the development of initiatives that promote wellbeing, inclusion, belonging and positive community living. Working collaboratively with internal and external partners, the postholder will enhance the residential student experience, support student success and retention, and contribute to the continuous improvement of Residence Life provision.
Whilst there is a need to be in Portsmouth a few days each week, hybrid (80% on campus / 20% remote) working is available for this role. This is ideally a full-time position; however, reduced hours of up to 30 hours per week may be considered for the right candidate if requested.

This appointment is offered on a fixed-term contract until 28 February 2027.
